Must say I agree re CDB... I would buy a copy and then think why did I spend all that money on this? So I bought a special low price online sub and now I can read it for what few nuggets it may contain while keeping most of my money in my pocket. I also got a US mainstream mag for about $10 for 12 months which I thought was neat. I reckon I might add a Dirt Action sub to the stable rather than forking out at the newsagent.

And while I generally agree about VMX magazine (and although I have no idea about costs or constraints of doing it via Zinio), you'd imagine that offering it online at a lower price might increase global reach? Perhaps the profit margins aren't there.

I remember we had a discussion about this a few years back. At that time I subscribed to a few mags online but found the experience underwhelming. Well, no more! I bought a Google Nexus tablet which has one of the highest res screens around. Combine that with the ease of use of a 10" tablet and I'm loving my online mags. I can view them in sharp hi-def colour, take em anywhere and have pretty much the same (actually slightly better) experience as hard copy. Plus they are way way cheaper. I subscribe to several bike mags plus a few more mainstream mags via Zinio.

Highly recommended.

Well, back from Queensland and talk about the gods of good fortune! Despite showery weather and the threat of a washout, Sunday was brilliant. Perfect conditions and a superb track surface made for a Helluva good day. Thanks to Steve and Doog for the riding gear, Rod for the WR450 and also Al and Julia for a run on the YZ125 and 250. I really should have taken the CR500 for a run too but had to go early to take mum out for the arvo.

It's been over 20 years since I rode there and I'd forgotten how good it is. Any Qld dirt track racers should get along there for a ride sometime. I'm planning to go back for the next practice day if I can.

Sounds good Al, looks like I'll be spoiled for choice!  Catch ya there.

Well, that's it folks, we hit the target. I've emailed the web hosting company and hope to go see them next week to get the ball rolling. Can't do it right away as I am flying off to Qld on Friday AM, back next Wednesday... hope to get a few laps of Action Park dirt track at Maryborough while I am there too!

I will report back once I know what the plan is for the migration/upgrade.
