Check the intake manifold for small cracks . my one of these had 2 over the time i had it .and as the other guys said , fit bigger bolts to the engine mounts. they do seem to vibrate worse than a honda or yammy.

I am in NZ so a little different . but I have alot of bikes , the deal I did with my insurance company was seeing as I figured they could only steal 5 maybe 6 at any time . I agreed to that as maximum theft cover. They cover all the bikes for fire etc under 1 cover with a list of bikes ,(changeable for a small fee) they also only pay out max of $8k on any one bike. If you explain the situation and shop around you will get the deal you want, the first thee insurers I tried wanted $800 per bike per year, it currently costs me $950 per year for 50K cover on all 13 bikes in total

asasin, "The reason I know this is A: I raced the bike and B: I still have it!!" If you still have this original bike is that not the proof that is needed I have argued this at length with another forum member and he insists I have to prove it, photo or something with a date ! this I do not have unfortunately. Also as I am in NZ I am sure MA will not recognize it.

Price is good Mine is in really good condition and I only paid $500 kiwi (about $1.20 OZ) for it, probably the best vmx investment I have made given the price drop on all my other bikes

Ill say it again as I have in the other 1950483 posts on this, I had a alloy arm on my b before the end of 77 it was painted black , had the stay arm lug ( even though my old man converted it to full floater same as Yamaha had) and the welding is not as great as the c model ones. The reason I know this is A: I raced the bike and B: I still have it!! I makes no difference , until the oz rules state it is allowed it will always be a contentious issue to some. Com`e race in NZ anything goes

I can just get them above my knees!! I hope to ride next weekend ( first time in a year) , The boxes are sucking the life and money out of me so will give them a rest for a while. Girls are good and their dog food is another reason I havent been riding.I have to come over b4 too long or forfet my ticket I had for the rigged Qld Titles

I have been getting quotes to chrome a tank for an old bike, I have had 3 quotes of over $900 including one guy who wanted the bottom cut out of the tank to do it, All of these guys are hot rod or custom chrome guys. Then I went to a guy who has been around for years and years probably longer than all the others combined. He went yea no problem those tanks dont need to be fully polished on the side as you paint the side in for original effect ( which is correct , this is without seeing the tank) Quote $350 Thats more than a little difference!! Shop around people

What exact bits do you need. a crank? rod etc. The rod kit is cheap new if it only needs a rebuild? I have some bits here let me know what you need.
