Yes, that's right.....The Johnny Old Motocross is going to run at the same property it was held in the 70's and 80's with thanks to Mrs Flora Old and Peter Bartholomew.

This event is going to be huge with the local Vintage Machinery Club suppling the machinery to help with the track, Neil Richie as commentator, Koputaroa School doing the food stall and an after match at a place still to be finalised.

The track itself will be a remake of the original as much as possible.

There will be a program available on the day also in which we are seeking sponsors for  so if you are keen please contact us through our email address below. We are also seeking a major sponsor......
At this stage we are starting a data base for those wishing to take part. To do this simply send us an email with your name, address, phone and bikes you are wishing to ride to:

Once we have your details, we will be able to forward to you all progress with the event including the entry form.

One could race Vinduro ,Enduro [any bike] ,three classes of MX ,and your other favourite sport [swimming ,golf ,you name it ] cheaper than Broadford Nats. Ask the wife & kids--Gold Coast [beach ,rainforrest ,Seaworld ,Dreamworld ,Movieworld shopping etc etc] or Broadford

    I got a call from Ron Single to say that the date for this year's Whitsunday classic, at Proserpine, will be the 19th & 20th of June. This will make it the weekend after CD7. The date has apparently been moved to earlier in year than normal to hopefully have better conditions, with it not being as dry & dusty .
    I have also heard a whisper, that the Queensland VMX titles may be held the weekend before CD7 ( at Nudgee I presume ). But I can't confirm that.

Here's what's happening in the top end this year. I don't know what date Finke is so it's not listed. Our premier event is the Kamfari, a four hour enduro that has usually been a mud race. it's getting known around the country and Brad Williscroft has won it four times.

If any one gets up this way and wants a ride get in touch. I can provide a bike and will be racing most if not all the natural terrain events this year.

I think I can squeeze in 11 or 12 natural terrain events this year. Maybe a few more if I ride with the Quad club.

All going well this year I'll do the nationals then back home. Freight the bikes and fly.

I'll probably drive to Qld for the Qld titles, CD7 then up to Proserpine. My wife Deb and I will make an extended holiday of it.
I may get her riding my TM125 so she can join in at CD7.

Another one for the Queenslanders is the Conondale classic set for two days on the 31st of July and 1st of August. This event was held over last year because of the Nationals at Conondale.

So anyone who would like to ride this fantastic track again should post mark this date.

Being a Queensland event should be open to all classes up to pre 90.

Does not say otherwise on the QVMX website so all you southern boys with pre 90 bikes better put this one in the diary
