my first bike was a GT 80 paid $60 bucks for it 28 years ago,welded gear stick on and kick starter on  Huh
real bummer when you fell of in top gear and the gear stick fell off :'( riding the clutch home in top gear  Tongue

Yes... they were fun,we were 2yr olds,
best christmas,50 odd years ago.
I restored them  ten years ago.

Yes luke, do not know how we survived,we road them down the hills in town on the main roads
with no brakes.
thinking about it........should have been banned

  From the time I was about 13 or 14 my mates and myself had heaps of old bikes striped down for the bush. Bikes like Matchless, AJS, Royal Enfield, BSA and others which were ridden until they just wouldn't go any further and then they ended up in one of the dams or mine subsidence holes near to where we rode.  Then we would look for a replacement and these were all funded by our paper runs and usually cost less than a couple of quid each,  thats about $4 to you who were not born in the first half of last century.  My first actual race bike was a 1966 Dot Demon and I still have it.
