Hey Rosco,
Just for the "Pool Room." Have added since this photo was taken, new front & rear wheels, nos front number plate, nos LHS number plate, nos kick starter, new piston kit still standard bore, and nos YZ80D rear shocks. Just looking for YZ80D front fork tubes to finish it off.

brother and I started off on a '75 GT80B that ran all day two up with camping gear and all on 60c of fuel. I'm after a brochure or copy of this bike.

then moved on to a YZ80E to cut our teeth on mx (there's that Dato again)

next stop was a brand new YZ80G that I raced in N/E VIC. cost $749 and I still have the Mikkola clock. only have this poor pic to show for it but bought another 80G recently for a future father/son project

Have any of you guys got pics of junior mx racing in N/E Viccy in 79/80/81?

how to tell an expert rider on page 49 Smiley

Cheesy  We'll have to do a reprint and sell it to some of the non-expert riders  Wink .............You dont see him racing in the pits, showing off or making violent swerves
or
No matter how deserted or smooth a paddock appears,he never throws caution to the wind.Even when there seems little danger of collision, the chaces of hitting a concealed pot-hole or tree stump are high
and
He does not litter the coutryside ,nor cause excessive noise.  Shocked
Bit like old fashioned etiquette for ladies and children -should be seen and not heard  Wink   Grin  Lips sealed
cheers A

Hey Mark
Nice couple of 80's there. It would be great if you could scan it and email the GT80 brochure for me. Shame they never listed the blue one in the brochure. Do you have any of the MX80 back then too?

I've also been on the look out for this one too, 1980 G models I think.

I used to have this transfer on the back of my Yamaha race jersey. Got it from the t-shirt shop in Albury. One of the IT guys still has an original.

Muddy - nice looking C - I actually got to race one a few times - I had an XR75 with some Bert Kingston bits on it courtesy of the local Honda store - but the YZ would chew me up every time - they were so much faster!
