Just letting everyone know that the Broadford Maga Ride Day's at the State Motorcycle Sports Complex have now ceased.

A number of reasons have been floating around....

* Rude & abusive patrons paying out on volunteers.

* Riders not needing to be in an MV club or have an MV licence to ride at the day's was hurting affiliated clubs.

* Sharing the Speedway & Dirt-Track on the same day.

* Deterioration on the grounds at the complex.

* Deterioration of the ground keeping equipment.

Looks like anyone wanting a monthly ride day on the Broadford MX track will have to join Mitchell Recreation Motorcycle Club.

As President of Mitchell Club I will seriously look at running classic practise days on the Natural Terrain MX circuit at Broadford.  With more support in the club from VMX riders will help me persuade the Committee to be more VMX aligned  ;-)

Excellent, we might get some grass to grow on our natural terrain track now that it is not being torn apart on the Mega Ride days. What are the chances of getting a little restoration work done ?

Already on to it Steve, as soon as Marty told me they were off, I went straight to the Natural Terrain track and started fixing up the barrier tape.  I'll get out there this or next week with some equipment and start preparing the place.

I think we could have a working bee/ride day soon  :-)

The previously discussed classic meeting for June 24 could be changed to a organized classic/2 stroke practise day; will have to talk to you about it soon.

Johhny,
Gotta love the comments going on over on the Mitchell Recreation Motorcycle Club Facebook page.
Seems to be more than the norm with the younger generation nowadays. God help us.

I worry about kids like this and their state of mind.
Worse still is that he has his peer group egging him on. I truly hope it's not the start of train wreck.

I fear that his employment expectations may conflict with my work ethic requirements. Tongue

What a silly little f@#k!!! If that little fella gets outta this with his head on his shoulders he should consider himself blessed! Anyone who puts a single dollar from their pocket or minute of their time in to keep this sport alive and thriving should be kissed on the ass, open ya mind little fella. I flagged the entire afternoon session at Monza on Sunday and decided to enjoy and not endure it, yeah it was faarkin cold and i nearly pissed my pants but its also a fantastic vantage point to see the action and getting roosted all afternoon can be just a thrilling as being in a 2nd place chasing for a win if you choose it to be!  Grin I guess my point is that at all comes down to attitude, with a positive one anything can prosper and thrive. With the attitude this kid has nothing will ever be achieved or bettered. An obvious ongoing thanks always goes out to all MA, MV and all volunteers who make things possible week in week out across the country!!

NOW GET BACK TO YA HOMEWORK AND EMPTYING THE DISHWASHER YA MOUTHY LITTLE TURD!!  Wink Cheesy
