thinking that's just what I need and just about to push the button and spend $10, the penny dropped. What is it ? A drawer handle. Pure Genius!

Head off to Bunnings and buy the same drawer handle for $2. Kudos for advertising effort though.

had the same appifany today, been looking for a steel bush to shim out a 12mm shock eyelet down to 10mm ID. I found ones from old shock but there OD just wouldnt go in, then tried to find a piece of steel tube and so on in the end it all got to hard. but for the life of me i searched the house high and low because im sure i had seen one somewhere..... in the end i come across a dyna bolt and noticed the shaft was roughly same od and same ID but was crush and spaced. then i remembered using longer ones that had a top sleeve on them. Today in bunning found the 125mm dyna have 2 bushed on them $4 later i put them in fit perfectly and these ones were stainless too. Cant believe its such a perfect cheap fit solution. Should have seen my grin....

It's funny, when I'm walking around a hardware store or discount shop, the assistant asks "what are you looking for" I laugh to myself and think "man you couldn't comprehend if I told you". I've made lots of things from items that were never desiged for such uses lol.

Wow, this thread is a real surprise - I saw the title and straight away, I thought I knew the answer. Seems that the thread wasn't about Sean Hardman afterall...
