2 stroke or 4 stroke?

Dave "Wrong Way" Hammond* attempts to ride on water

Or was he just trying to splash the photographers?

Jimbo, get those elbows up

Guys were all smiles despite the damp conditions

* Dave “Wrong Way” Hammond missed the very first arrow and went off on a lovely Sunday ride through the countryside by himself while wondering where everyone else went.
Only a few Motocross riders ever make good in the Enduro scene, some can’t handle logs, some can’t handle being so close to trees and then some just haven’t got a clue how to follow a set course.

It was rumoured that Dave was busy dreaming of berms and jumps and wondering how high up a tree he could climb while riders briefing was going on.

What is it about this 'Hammond' bloke??
He's been poster boy for 2 Harrow Vinduros and seems to get his mug in every selection of Vinduro pics......  Roll Eyes

Regardless, nice pics GMC, but I do miss the 'look' of the images from the old Pentax........  Undecided

After having a partial Biography written about him he now has to try to look important and keep up appearances

Thanks Tony but I'm afraid I may have lost the skills needed to run the old Pentax nowadays

Hey that looks like Rohan's old PE/RM400?  Surely there can't be 2 bikes with the same unusual hub paint treatment??

Anyway nice bike if it's the one I'm thinking of (aside from the rim and hub treatment)  Grin

How lucky were we with the weather?, it belted down the night before, stopped at first light and the sun eventually came out and it's been pouring again since I last night. Trail boss Sean Hamilton says we'd better move it closer to
summer next year.
The rider on the IT 200 with the black 'road' helmet is 68 yo Peter Davis, he was riding enduros with me back in the 1970s. That's his original bike bought from new, ridden by both his son and daughter and now he has it back. Peter did the most laps (5) and had a ball in the 'true Victorian' conditions.

Hiya Tex
I heard you were there somewhere but I wasn't brave enough to take the Commodore out looking for vantage spots.

Typically I have been too slack* and haven't got the lights working on the KDX yet in order to get Rego.

*Slack. Read busy

 Cheesy

I drove my Commodore down to the first checkpoint position. Something of a leap of faith, seeing as it was Drakie who assured me it would be fine!

Some "results" from the event are now up on the Vinduro Victoria website.  Wink
