Drakey in hospital-lets the team down.
« on: September 10, 2012, 08:40:06 PM »
A few bodies may be aware that Peter had travelled to the UK and was to compete in a Vinduro there as part of the junket. Unfortunately he had only completed a half lap of what has been described as a tough event before he began to suffer chest pains. He was rushed to hospital and is being held there for assessment at this stage. It will probably be another 3 weeks before he will be allowed to fly back to home. At this point there seems to be little panic. As I hear any news I'll update.

You'd reckon he would have been trying to uphold Aussie honour and perservered and won the event. Now what will the Poms think of Aussies?

Compared to the damage his silly hats had already done to our international image, I don't think 'chest pains' will make any difference...

Getting yourself hospitalised is one way to extend a holiday, I guess.  :-\

The good thing about telling the truth is that you don't have to remember what you said.

I think I need to find some new friends. :D
I traveled to Denman with Drakie & Dave and after Drakie crashed we had to cart him home.
Then at CD9 I find myself playing nursemaid to Dave.

Hmm, I probably just mozzed myself didn’t I!!

Get well Drakie, ya dumb bastard
Don’t stay over there too long, we won’t be able to understand you when you get back.
Oh, don’t worry, we don’t understand you now ;D

I wonder if this was part of a plot by that iron curtain enigma Mr Drakfallov to silence his free world nemesis once and for all! Seriously though, I hope everything turns out ok.

I hope he doesn't end up mistakenly extradited to Sweden... they currently seem to have a thing for straight talking, no BS, Aussies...  ;D

And watch out for Matron, Drakie. She wields a mean wooden spoon!!!

Sorry to hear this Peter. Hope everything goes as well as it can. I'll catch up with you when you are back home. You'll be pleased to know the Victorian winter is over, even saw a few bikinis down the Esplanade this week. ;D

A mate of mine based in the UK spoke to Drakey today.
Doesn't sound like he's doing too badly! Get well soon.
